How much time is needed to set up?

​Your wedding DJ should ideally be setup and in place before your first guest walks through the door.  Many DJs arrive one hour prior to the start time you've given them.  Our experience has taught us that one hour is just not enough time to setup, test equipment, and respond to anything unexpected.  Even venues we play at consistently can have something happen that needs to be adjusted (i.e. bad power outlet, change in layout of the room, questions from caterers or other staff, or even pitching in and lending a hand to your family members or friends if they need help decorating.)  Our policy is to arrive at least 2-3 hours ahead of time, sometimes even earlier depending on the setup requirements.  No wedding was ever ruined because the DJ arrived early.
